Do you have to be local to do my bookkeeping well?
No. The work happens in QuickBooks Online and shared documents — being in the same ZIP code adds nothing to the quality of a reconciliation. What matters is whether your bookkeeper understands job-based businesses. That part travels.
Do you file Texas franchise tax or sales tax returns?
No — we're a financial operations practice, not a CPA or tax firm. What we do is keep your books accurate, reconciled, and documented so the person who does file has clean numbers to work from and fewer questions to bill you for.
We work jobs in multiple Texas cities. Can you track that separately?
Yes, and you should. We set up job and location tracking so you can see profitability by market. It's common to find that one city's work is subsidizing another's — you can't fix that until you can see it.
How do you handle onboarding a client hundreds of miles away?
Same as a local one. We get read access to your QuickBooks and bank feeds, review the current state, scope any clean-up needed, and set the monthly cycle. Most onboardings run on a couple of video calls and a shared folder.
